I am the human race compacted
and crammed into a single suit of clothes
but quite able to represent its
entire massed multitude in all its
moods and inspirations...

I am only human - although I regret it.

Mark Twain

In this informal, relaxed pose - sitting
on the ground, legs drawn up, smoking a cigar,
telling a tale or perhaps reflecting
on the foibles of humankind - I have
tried to capture the Boy/Man essence of
Samuel Clemens, a.k.a. Mark Twain,
creator of such immortal classics as
Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.

I am not an American,
I am the American.

Mark Twain

I believe that our Heavenly Father
invented man because He was
disappointed in the monkey.
